Fryers & Smoke (Self Portrait)
I was commissioned by Richard Dixon (Curator) to create a piece for The Who Gallery for the exhibition entitled FIXATION. This exhibition focused on the addictive behaviours of people and the representation of that subject matter. This piece is a self-portrait created with acrylic on canvas. This piece was very close to home, illustrating the day to day life of someone who is an avid consumer of marijuana. The plant that is known to relief and brighten problems through our daily proceedings, though people disregard exactly how it effects the mind from avid us.
